This policy explains what happens to your data when you use Free Online Protractor. Your images and measurements stay on your device; we use Google Analytics for anonymous site usage only.

Information we collect
We do not collect the content of files you open in the tool, your measurements, or any account details — there is no sign-up. We do use Google Analytics (measurement IDG-XD6VZ3K1Z1) to understand how visitors use the site: pages viewed, approximate location, device type, and similar usage data. Google may process this according to its ownprivacy policy.
Separately, your browser may store workspace data locally on your device, described below. We cannot access that remotely.
Files you open
Images and PDFs are read and rendered by your own browser. They are not transmitted to us or to any third party. You can confirm this by opening your browser's developer tools, switching to the Network tab, and measuring something — or by disconnecting from the internet after the page loads and continuing to work.

Both are local to your browser on your machine. Neither is synced or transmitted. This data is durable on disk, though, so on a shared computer use the erase control described below.
How to erase local data
The tool provides a control that clears all stored workspaces, images, and preferences. Clearing site data through your browser settings has the same effect.
Cookies and similar technologies
Google Analytics may set cookies or use similar technologies to recognise returning visitors and attribute page views. Theme preference is stored in localStorage on your device, which is not a cookie and is not sent with network requests.
Analytics and third parties
Google Analytics loads from Google’s servers when you open a page. It does not receive your images, measurement coordinates, or exported files. You can opt out withGoogle’s Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-onor a browser extension that blocks analytics scripts.
Fonts are served from this domain rather than a font CDN. Aside from Google Analytics and the static hosting provider that delivers the site files, we do not load advertising scripts, embeds, or social pixels.
The site is served by a static hosting provider, which — like any web host — processes the network request needed to deliver the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files. That provider never receives your images, because your images are never sent.
Children
The tool is suitable for classroom use. Your images and measurements are not collected. Site usage may be measured anonymously through Google Analytics like any other visitor.
Your rights
Because we do not hold personal data about you, there is typically nothing for us to access, correct, or delete on our systems. Data you control locally can be erased as described above. If you believe we hold information about you (for example, from an email you sent us), contact us and we will respond within a reasonable time.
International users
The tool runs entirely in your browser regardless of where you are. Local storage follows your browser's rules on your device. We do not transfer your measurement data across borders because we never receive it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, the change will be stated here with an updated date. The core commitment — that your files stay on your device — is a property of how the tool is built, not a policy that could be quietly revised.
